Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Membrane Wrap-Hydro is a human placental membrane allograft developed by BioLab Holdings for the management of chronic, non-healing wounds, specifically diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) and venous leg ulcers (VLUs). Classified as a Cellular, Acellular, and Matrix-like Product (CAMP), it is derived from human amniotic membrane and processed as a minimally manipulated allograft to preserve the tissue's natural structural and biological properties. The product functions as a biological scaffold, providing a natural extracellular matrix that supports cell migration and tissue regeneration while acting as a protective barrier. Additionally, it delivers endogenous growth factors and cytokines directly to the wound bed to facilitate the healing process. It is currently being evaluated in the Phase 4 BIOCAMP trial, which compares various placental membrane products against standard of care.
