MenaBloc is a therapeutic program developed by MetaStat, Inc., targeting the Mena protein (also known as ENAH), a key regulator of the epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) pathway implicated in cancer metastasis across epithelial-based tumors. It exploits alternative splicing events in Mena biology to block metastatic progression, aiming to provide precision oncology medicines by inhibiting the function of pro-metastatic Mena isoforms. The program builds on MetaStat's diagnostic platforms like MenaCalc and MetaSite Breast, which stratify patients by metastasis risk, to identify novel targets for preventing disease progression in high-risk cancers.
