Menactra + Adacel

This entry refers to the concomitant administration of two distinct vaccines developed by Sanofi Pasteur: Menactra and Adacel (a Tdap vaccine). Menactra is a quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine that provides protection against invasive disease caused by Neisseria meningitidis serogroups A, C, Y, and W-135. A Phase 4 clinical study evaluated the safety and immunogenicity of administering these two vaccines simultaneously at different injection sites in healthy adolescents aged 11 to 17 years. The study aimed to confirm that co-administration does not compromise the immune response to any of the vaccine components compared to separate administration.
