MenACWY-PS polysaccharide vaccine + Menveo

This is a combination immunization regimen consisting of the MenACWY-PS polysaccharide vaccine and the conjugate meningococcal vaccine, Menveo. The MenACWY-PS (polysaccharide) vaccine contains purified capsular polysaccharides from Neisseria meningitidis serogroups A, C, Y, and W-135. It induces immunity by stimulating the production of bactericidal antibodies against these serogroups through a T-cell independent mechanism. Menveo is a quadrivalent conjugate vaccine containing oligosaccharides from Neisseria meningitidis serogroups A, C, Y, and W-135 conjugated to diphtheria CRM197 protein. It induces immunity via a T-cell dependent response that promotes immunologic memory and higher antibody titers compared to pure polysaccharide vaccines[2][6][9]. The combination may be used in certain clinical or public health settings where both immediate protection (from PS) and longer-term memory (from conjugate) are desired or for catch-up/booster strategies[6]. Both components are indicated for prevention of invasive disease caused by Neisseria meningitidis serogroups A, C, Y, and W.
