meningococcal (groups A, C, Y, W) polysaccharide tetanus toxoid conjugate vaccine

MenQuadfi is a quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MenACWY) developed by Sanofi (and partnered with Nanolek in Russia) for the prevention of invasive meningococcal disease. It is designed to induce protective anti-capsular polysaccharide antibodies against *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroups A, C, W, and Y. The vaccine consists of capsular polysaccharides from these four serogroups, each individually conjugated to a tetanus toxoid carrier protein. This conjugation converts the T-cell independent polysaccharide antigens into T-cell dependent antigens, which enhances the immune response, particularly in young children, and induces long-term immunological memory. MenQuadfi is indicated for active immunization in individuals 12 months of age and older (depending on the regulatory jurisdiction, such as the EU and Russia) or 2 years and older (in the US).
