Overview

This combination refers to the co-administration or combined use of a quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MenACWY) and the measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) and varicella vaccines. The MenACWY component provides active immunization against invasive meningococcal disease caused by *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroups A, C, W, and Y by utilizing capsular polysaccharides conjugated to a carrier protein (such as CRM197 or tetanus toxoid) to induce a T-cell dependent immune response. The MMR and varicella components are live-attenuated viral vaccines that stimulate humoral and cellular immunity against their respective pathogens. This specific combination is frequently administered to children between 12 and 15 months of age. Clinical trials have demonstrated that the concomitant administration of these vaccines is generally safe and does not significantly interfere with the immunogenicity of the individual components.
