Overview
Menveo is a quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine developed and marketed by GSK. It is composed of oligosaccharides derived from the capsular polysaccharides of *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroups A, C, W-135, and Y, each individually conjugated to a CRM197 carrier protein, which is a non-toxic mutant of the diphtheria toxin. The vaccine is designed to induce active immunity against invasive meningococcal disease, including bacterial meningitis and septicemia, by triggering a T-cell dependent immune response. It is approved for use in individuals from 2 months through 55 years of age. In clinical research, such as the Pfizer-sponsored ALLEGRO-LT trial, Menveo has been used as a tool to assess the impact of immunomodulatory drugs like ritlecitinib on the body's ability to mount an effective immune response to vaccination.
