Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MenACWY-TT is a quadrivalent conjugate vaccine designed to protect against invasive disease caused by *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroups A, C, W, and Y. The vaccine contains capsular polysaccharides from these four serogroups conjugated to tetanus toxoid as a carrier protein. It induces an immune response that generates protective antibodies against the targeted serogroups. MenACWY-TT has demonstrated high immunogenicity and an acceptable safety profile in infants (as young as 6 weeks), children, adolescents, and adults. It can be co-administered with other routine vaccines without compromising efficacy or safety. Originally developed by GSK Biologicals (now GSK), it was later acquired by Pfizer[1][5]. The primary indication is prevention of invasive meningococcal disease[1][5].
