Overview

meningococcal vaccine GSK134612 + Fluarix refers to the co-administration of GSK's quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine (GSK134612, later branded as Nimenrix) and its seasonal influenza vaccine (Fluarix). GSK134612 is a conjugate vaccine consisting of Neisseria meningitidis capsular polysaccharides from serogroups A, C, W-135, and Y, each covalently linked to a tetanus toxoid carrier protein. Fluarix is an inactivated, split-virion influenza vaccine containing antigens from seasonal influenza A and B strains. This combination was primarily studied in clinical trials (such as NCT00453986) to evaluate the safety, immunogenicity, and lack of interference when the two vaccines are administered simultaneously to adults.
