Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A **quadrivalent conjugate vaccine** formulated to protect against invasive disease caused by *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroups A, C, W-135, and Y. Each of the four capsular polysaccharides is individually conjugated to a **tetanus toxoid protein carrier**, improving immunogenicity especially in infants and young children. The vaccine induces active immunity by promoting the production of specific IgG, IgM, and IgA antibodies targeting the capsular antigens of these serogroups, thus enabling bactericidal activity against *N. meningitidis*. It is not adjuvanted and does not contain preservatives. MenACWY-TT is indicated for active immunization of individuals as young as 12 months (Europe) or 2 years (USA), with a well-characterized safety and immunogenicity profile.
