Nimenrix (MenACWY-TT) is a quadrivalent conjugate vaccine designed to prevent invasive meningococcal disease caused by *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroups A, C, W-135, and Y. The vaccine consists of purified capsular polysaccharides from each of these four serogroups, which are individually conjugated to a tetanus toxoid (TT) carrier protein. This conjugation process converts the polysaccharides from T-cell-independent to T-cell-dependent antigens, thereby enhancing their immunogenicity—particularly in infants and young children—and inducing long-term immunological memory. Originally developed by Wyeth and subsequently marketed by Pfizer following its acquisition of Wyeth, Nimenrix is licensed for use in individuals starting from 6 weeks of age. It works by inducing serum bactericidal antibody (SBA) responses against the targeted serogroups, providing protection against meningitis and septicemia.
