Menhycia (Group ACYW135 Meningococcal Polysaccharide Conjugate Vaccine [CRM197]) is a quadrivalent vaccine developed by CanSino Biologics for the prevention of invasive meningococcal disease caused by *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroups A, C, Y, and W135. The vaccine utilizes the CRM197 carrier protein, a non-toxic mutant of diphtheria toxin, to which the capsular polysaccharides of the four serogroups are individually conjugated. This conjugation process enhances the immune response by engaging T-cell-dependent pathways, which is particularly critical for providing long-lasting immunity in infants and young children. While already approved in China for use in children aged 3 months to 3 years, CanSino is currently pursuing an indication expansion for individuals aged 7 to 59 years, which is in Phase 2 clinical development.
