Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The meningococcal group A + meningococcal group C + Haemophilus influenzae type b (conjugate) vaccine is a trivalent combination conjugate vaccine developed by Chengdu Olymvax Biotechnology (Olymvax). It is designed to provide simultaneous protection against *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroups A and C, as well as *Haemophilus influenzae* type b (Hib). The vaccine utilizes capsular polysaccharides from these pathogens conjugated to a carrier protein to elicit a robust T-cell-dependent immune response, which is particularly effective in infants and young children. It is indicated for the prevention of epidemic cerebrospinal meningitis and invasive Hib infections, including pneumonia, septicemia, and epiglottitis. As of 2024, the vaccine candidate has reached the NDA/BLA filing stage in China.
