Bexsero (also known as 4CMenB or rMenB + OMV) is a multicomponent recombinant vaccine indicated for the prevention of invasive meningococcal disease caused by *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroup B. Developed using reverse vaccinology, the vaccine contains four primary antigenic components: three recombinant proteins—Factor H-binding protein (fHbp), Neisserial adhesin A (NadA), and Neisserial heparin-binding antigen (NHBA)—and outer membrane vesicles (OMV) derived from the NZ98/254 strain. These components are designed to elicit bactericidal antibodies that facilitate complement-mediated killing of diverse MenB strains. The vaccine is typically administered as an intramuscular injection and is approved for use in individuals from 2 months of age and older, depending on the regulatory jurisdiction.
