Overview

rMenB+OMV NZ + routine vaccines refers to the concomitant administration of the multicomponent meningococcal serogroup B vaccine (4CMenB, brand name Bexsero) alongside standard routine childhood immunizations. Bexsero, originally developed by Novartis Vaccines (now part of GSK), is composed of four primary antigenic components: three recombinant proteins (Factor H-binding protein [fHbp], Neisserial adhesin A [NadA], and Neisserial heparin-binding antigen [NHBA]) and outer membrane vesicles (OMV) derived from the New Zealand strain NZ98/254, which provides the PorA P1.4 antigen. This vaccine is designed to induce broad bactericidal antibody responses against *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroup B. In clinical trial contexts, such as the Phase 3 V72P13 extension study, this regimen was evaluated for safety and immunogenicity when administered as a booster or catch-up dose in toddlers who were also receiving routine vaccines such as DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus, acellular pertussis), Hib (*Haemophilus influenzae* type b), and IPV (inactivated poliovirus).
