Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Meningococcal groups A and C and haemophilus b conjugate vaccine (MenAC-Hib) is a trivalent combination conjugate vaccine developed by Beijing Zhifei Lvzhu Biopharmaceutical. It is designed for the active immunization of infants and young children against invasive diseases caused by *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroups A and C and *Haemophilus influenzae* type b (Hib). The vaccine consists of purified capsular polysaccharides from these three pathogens, each individually conjugated to a tetanus toxoid carrier protein. This conjugation converts the polysaccharides from T-cell independent to T-cell dependent antigens, significantly enhancing immunogenicity and inducing immunological memory in infants as young as two months of age. It was the first AC-Hib triple vaccine approved globally and is a key component of pediatric vaccination programs in China.
