MenHibrix (HibMenCY-TT) is a trivalent conjugate vaccine developed by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) to protect infants and children against invasive diseases caused by *Haemophilus influenzae* type b (Hib) and *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroups C and Y. The vaccine consists of the capsular polysaccharides of these three bacterial pathogens, each individually and covalently linked to a tetanus toxoid carrier protein. This conjugation process converts the T-cell independent polysaccharide antigens into T-cell dependent antigens, which is essential for inducing a robust immune response and immunological memory in young children. MenHibrix was approved by the FDA in 2012 for use in infants aged 6 weeks through 18 months. However, GSK discontinued the product in the United States in 2016 due to low market demand rather than safety or efficacy concerns.
