Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yuxi Walvax MPV ACYW is a quadrivalent meningococcal polysaccharide vaccine developed by Walvax Biotechnology. It is indicated for the prevention of invasive meningococcal disease caused by *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroups A, C, Y, and W-135. The vaccine contains purified capsular polysaccharides from each of the four serogroups and is administered via intramuscular injection. It is primarily used in pediatric and adult populations to provide protection against meningitis and septicaemia. In clinical trials, such as the Phase IV study NCT05441410, it has been evaluated for immunogenicity and safety in children aged 2 to 10 years, often compared against conjugate vaccines like Menactra to demonstrate its clinical profile in real-world settings.
