Overview
MPSV4 is a quadrivalent meningococcal polysaccharide vaccine developed and manufactured by Ningbo Rongan Biological Pharmaceutical, a subsidiary of AIM Vaccines. It is indicated for the prevention of invasive meningococcal disease caused by *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroups A, C, Y, and W135. The vaccine contains purified capsular polysaccharides from each of these four serogroups, which act as antigens to stimulate the host's immune system to produce serogroup-specific bactericidal antibodies. These antibodies provide protection by facilitating complement-mediated lysis of the bacteria. The vaccine is approved for use in China and is typically administered via subcutaneous injection.
