Overview
Human Menotrophin for Injection (HMG) is a biological hormone product developed and manufactured by Ningbo Renjian Pharmaceutical Group. It contains menotrophin, a gonadotropin extracted from the urine of postmenopausal women, which consists of a mixture of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH). The drug acts as an agonist at the FSH and LH receptors in the ovaries, stimulating follicular growth, maturation, and the production of gonadal steroids. It is approved in China for the treatment of female infertility, specifically for primary or secondary amenorrhea and anovulation caused by gonadotropin deficiency. The product is supplied as a lyophilized powder for injection in 75 IU and 150 IU specifications.
