Overview

MenSC-EVs are **extracellular vesicles (EVs) derived from menstrual blood-derived mesenchymal stem cells (MenSCs)**. These EVs are membrane-bound structures containing proteins, lipids, RNAs, and other bioactive molecules. MenSC-EVs show promise as a **cell-free therapy in regenerative medicine** due to their regenerative potential, immune modulation, and low immunogenicity. They have demonstrated preclinical efficacy for conditions such as fulminant hepatic failure, myocardial infarction, pulmonary fibrosis, prostate cancer, wound healing, and reproductive disorders. Key mechanisms include delivery of microRNAs (such as miR-21 and let-7), proteins (such as IL-6, IL-8, ICAM-1, angiopoietin-2, angiogenin, IGFBP-6, osteoprotegerin), and modulation of cellular and immune responses. The field is rapidly developing, with ongoing basic research and early-stage clinical studies[1][3].
