Mentha longifolia, commonly known as wild mint or horse mint, is a perennial herb belonging to the Lamiaceae family. It is widely utilized in traditional medicine across the Mediterranean, Middle East, and Africa for its diverse pharmacological properties, including antimicrobial, antioxidant, and antispasmodic activities. In the context of cardiovascular health, Mentha longifolia has been investigated for its potential to lower blood pressure, a property attributed to its bioactive constituents such as flavonoids and phenolic acids.
