Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Meocil is a fixed-dose combination ophthalmic ointment developed by Laboratório EDOL. It contains three active ingredients: prednisolone acetate (a synthetic corticosteroid), neomycin sulfate (an aminoglycoside antibiotic), and sulfacetamide sodium (a sulfonamide antibacterial). This combination provides dual anti-inflammatory and antibacterial action, making it highly effective for treating inflammatory ocular conditions where a bacterial infection is present or suspected, such as blepharitis, conjunctivitis, and other infectious and inflammatory eye disorders.
