Overview

MER-101 is an mRNA-based therapeutic developed by MERLIN Biotech that encodes the naturally occurring protein ubiquitin-specific protease 6 (USP6). Administered via intratumoral injection, the drug is designed to activate multiple immunostimulatory pathways simultaneously, effectively turning "cold" tumors "hot" and stimulating a systemic immune response against cancer. MER-101 is currently in the IND-enabling stage and is being investigated for the treatment of various malignancies, including the rare pediatric cancer Ewing sarcoma, as well as late-stage pancreatic, bladder, lung, ovarian, cervical, breast, skin, and liver cancers, and lymphoma.
