Mer-418 is a novel chemical entity (NCE) small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor developed by Meroven for the treatment of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). It specifically targets the BCR-ABL fusion protein, a constitutively active tyrosine kinase that is the primary driver of CML pathogenesis. Designed for use as both first-line and second-line therapy, Mer-418 has demonstrated superiority in multiple parameters compared to established BCR-ABL inhibitors such as imatinib, dasatinib, and nilotinib.
