Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MERVLYSIS is a preclinical-stage oncolytic virus therapy being developed by CZ BioMed for the treatment of melanoma. It is part of the RVLYSIS platform, which consists of genetically engineered common cold-derived viruses, specifically based on the human Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV). The virus is engineered to selectively replicate in and kill tumor cells while sparing normal cells. Its mechanism of action involves inducing apoptosis in cancer cells and stimulating systemic anti-tumor immune responses. CZ BioMed aims to license this product candidate to pharmaceutical companies for further development.
