Mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes (MSC-exosomes) are extracellular vesicles being investigated by the University of Ulm for their potential to treat hyperinflammation and immune dysfunction. These exosomes are harvested from mesenchymal stem cells and contain a complex cargo of proteins, lipids, and various RNA species that mediate paracrine signaling.
