Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Mesenchymal stem cell-derived lyosecretome (also referred to as lyosecretome) is a standardized, freeze-dried, injectable formulation of the mesenchymal stem cell secretome (MSC-Sec). It contains a complex mixture of proteins, growth factors, cytokines, and extracellular vesicles (EVs), including exosomes and microvesicles. Developed by researchers at the University of Pavia and its spinout PharmaExceed, lyosecretome is produced through a scalable, GMP-compliant process combining ultrafiltration and lyophilization. This cell-free therapeutic candidate is designed for regenerative medicine, with potential applications in lung regenerative therapy (such as pulmonary fibrosis), osteoarthritis, bone regeneration, wound healing, and other degenerative diseases.
