Mesenchymal stem cell-derived pleiotropic factor (MSC-PF) is an investigational biologic preparation derived from the paracrine secretions (secretome) of mesenchymal stem cells. It is typically produced by collecting the conditioned medium from MSC cultures and processing it into a lyophilized powder. The factor consists of a complex mixture of bioactive cytokines and growth factors, including **Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 (IGF-1)**, **Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF)**, **Transforming Growth Factor-beta 1 (TGF-β1)**, and **Hepatocyte Growth Factor (HGF)**. These components act synergistically to promote tissue regeneration, reduce inflammation, and accelerate wound closure by stimulating angiogenesis and the proliferation of dermal fibroblasts and keratinocytes. MSC-PF is primarily being studied as a cell-free alternative to stem cell therapy for the treatment of chronic wounds, severe burns, and postoperative incision complications.
