Mesenchymal Trophic Factor (MTF) refers to a biologically active preparation derived from the secretome of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), containing a blend of free healing molecules, extracellular vesicles, and exosomes. These factors include cytokines and growth factors such as prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), fibroblast growth factor (FGF), brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A), hepatocyte growth factor (HGF), interleukins, transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β), and others. MTF is designed to harness the paracrine effects of MSCs—primarily anti-inflammatory and regenerative actions—without introducing live cells. The mechanism involves modulation of immune responses, reduction of inflammation, promotion of tissue repair/regeneration across multiple tissues including skin, nerves, cartilage, blood vessels and bone. Early research suggests that MTF may have therapeutic potential in conditions characterized by inflammation or tissue damage[1][3][5].
