Mesendo is an autologous cell therapy developed by TCA Cellular Therapy, consisting of a combination of bone marrow-derived mononuclear cells (MNCs) and mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). The therapy is designed to treat severe ischemic conditions by promoting neovascularization and tissue regeneration. By combining MNCs, which provide a source of endothelial progenitor cells and angiogenic growth factors, with MSCs, which possess multi-lineage differentiation potential and immunomodulatory properties, Mesendo aims to create mature and stable blood vessels rather than the immature vessels often produced by single-cell therapies. It has been evaluated in clinical trials for the treatment of severe coronary ischemia, acute myocardial infarction, and critical limb ischemia, with administration routes including intracoronary infusion and direct intramyocardial or intramuscular injection.
