Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MESO-CAR T is a type of Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy, specifically an autocrine PD-1 nano antibody MesO-CAR T. This therapy involves genetically engineering a patient's own T cells to express a Chimeric Antigen Receptor that targets mesothelin (MSLN), a protein frequently overexpressed on various solid tumor cells. Additionally, these CAR-T cells are designed to produce an autocrine PD-1 nano antibody, which aims to block PD-1 signaling within the CAR-T cells or in the tumor microenvironment. This dual mechanism is intended to enhance the anti-tumor activity of the T cells by overcoming immune suppression and improving their persistence and efficacy against mesothelin-expressing cancers, such as advanced gastric cancer.
