MesoCellA-Ortho is a tissue-engineered advanced therapy medicinal product composed of in vitro expanded autologous human adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (AT-MSCs). The product is designed for intraarticular administration, with each dose containing 20 million AT-MSCs resuspended in a carrier solution. Its primary mechanism involves cell replacement and regenerative effects mediated by the administered autologous AT-MSCs. MesoCellA-Ortho is being developed for the treatment of osteoarthritis, particularly knee osteoarthritis, including patients with comorbidities such as type 2 diabetes and obesity.
