Drug intelligence / Profile preview
mesoFAP CAR-TEAM is an experimental chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy designed to target solid tumors, particularly pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). These T cells are engineered to express a CAR targeting mesothelin and to simultaneously secrete a T-cell-engaging molecule (TEAM). The TEAM is a bispecific antibody-like molecule that binds to fibroblast activation protein (FAP) on cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAF) and CD3 on T cells. This dual-targeting strategy aims to eliminate both the tumor cells and the immunosuppressive tumor stroma, thereby enhancing the efficacy of the CAR-T cells in the thick stroma characteristic of pancreatic cancer.
