MesoPher is a personalized immuno-oncology cell therapy developed by Amphera. It consists of autologous dendritic cells (DCs) derived from the patient's own monocytes, which are collected via leukapheresis and differentiated ex vivo. These DCs are then loaded with PheraLys, an allogeneic lysate of mesothelioma cell lines containing a broad spectrum of tumor-associated antigens (TAAs). Once injected back into the patient, the activated mature dendritic cells migrate to lymph nodes and present TAAs to the immune system, stimulating NK cells, B cells, and T cells to mount an anti-tumor response. MesoPher is being investigated as a treatment for malignant pleural mesothelioma (including as maintenance after chemotherapy), peritoneal mesothelioma, and pancreatic cancer. Clinical studies have shown that MesoPher can induce durable immune responses with promising safety and efficacy profiles[1][3][4][5][6][8].
