Mesoporous nano-hydroxyapatite is a synthetic calcium phosphate biomaterial characterized by its nanoscale particle size and a porous structure. This unique morphology provides a high surface area and enhanced reactivity compared to conventional hydroxyapatite. It is highly biocompatible and is a primary mineral component of human bones and teeth. In dentistry, it is widely utilized for its ability to remineralize enamel and dentin, and to reduce dentin hypersensitivity by occluding exposed dentinal tubules.
