Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Mesothelin SIR-T is a preclinical-stage cell therapy developed by Angeles Therapeutics for the treatment of mesothelin-positive solid tumors. The therapy utilizes the proprietary Synthetic Immune Receptor T-cell (SIR-T) platform, which engineers T-cells to express a synthetic receptor designed to mimic the natural T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling complex. This approach aims to improve upon traditional CAR-T therapies by providing more physiological T-cell activation, enhanced sensitivity to low-density antigens, and improved persistence within the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. The primary target, mesothelin, is a cell-surface glycoprotein overexpressed in several aggressive malignancies, including mesothelioma, ovarian cancer, and pancreatic adenocarcinoma.
