met siRNA (MET siRNA) is a small interfering RNA designed to selectively silence the expression of the MET proto-oncogene (hepatocyte growth factor receptor) via RNA interference (RNAi). MET is a receptor tyrosine kinase that, upon binding its ligand hepatocyte growth factor (HGF), activates downstream signaling pathways (such as PI3K/Akt and MAPK/ERK) involved in cell proliferation, survival, and migration. Aberrant MET activation or overexpression is associated with tumor progression, metastasis, and drug resistance in various cancers, including breast, gastric, and oral squamous cell carcinoma. met siRNA is primarily utilized as a research reagent in preclinical studies to investigate the role of MET signaling and to evaluate the therapeutic potential of MET knockdown in oncology.
