Overview

MetasTx is developing a next-generation KIT inhibitor program for the treatment of prostate cancer. This small molecule therapy targets the KIT receptor (also known as c-Kit), a tyrosine kinase that sits upstream of epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and cancer stemness processes. These biological pathways are critical drivers of metastasis and drug resistance in prostate cancer. By inhibiting KIT, the therapy aims to prevent cancer spread and overcome treatment resistance. The program is currently in preclinical development, advancing through assays with the goal of entering IND-enabling work and initiating first-in-human studies by late 2027 or early 2028. MetasTx intends to deploy this therapy as part of a precision oncology platform that includes a companion diagnostic to identify high-risk patients.
