Overview

Metatinib is a small molecule receptor kinase inhibitor developed for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. It specifically targets both *c-MET* (hepatocyte growth factor receptor) and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2), inhibiting their activity to disrupt tumor cell proliferation and angiogenesis. In a phase I clinical trial, metatinib demonstrated tolerability at doses up to 200 mg/day, with dose-limiting toxicities including hand-foot skin reaction, diarrhea, and liver dysfunction. The drug was rapidly absorbed and metabolized into its active form SCR-1510. Objective response rates were modest but indicated potential efficacy in certain patients with advanced cancers[7].
