Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**METfect-CNS** is a preclinical Nanomerics non-viral, intranasal gene-delivery program for CNS neurodegeneration. The program uses Nanomerics' Molecular Envelope Technology nanoparticle platform to deliver siRNA and plasmid DNA through a nose-to-brain route, with the aim of modulating gene expression in the central nervous system while bypassing the blood-brain barrier. Specific therapeutic nucleic-acid sequences and molecular targets have not been publicly disclosed.
