Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The MAP regimen is a standard chemotherapy combination consisting of methotrexate, doxorubicin (adriamycin), and cisplatin. It is primarily used for the treatment of osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer. This combination has been established as the standard of care for conventional osteosarcoma treatment. The regimen typically involves systemic multidrug chemotherapy that can be administered both preoperatively (neoadjuvant) and postoperatively (adjuvant). Postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy with MAP has been shown to improve disease-free and overall survival in patients with osteosarcoma.
