Overview

Methyluracil is a pyrimidine derivative with anabolic and anti-catabolic properties, primarily used to stimulate cellular regeneration and tissue repair. Developed and marketed by Pharmex Group and Omnifarm in Ukraine, the drug works by enhancing the synthesis of nucleic acids (DNA and RNA) and proteins, thereby accelerating the healing of wounds, ulcers, and fractures. It is also recognized for its ability to stimulate leukopoiesis, making it an effective treatment for leukopenia resulting from chemotherapy or radiation therapy. Beyond its regenerative effects, methyluracil exhibits mild anti-inflammatory and immunostimulatory activities, contributing to its broad clinical application in treating gastrointestinal ulcers and topical skin injuries.
