METR-NK cells + solvatinib is an investigational combination therapy consisting of METR-NK cells, a form of natural killer (NK) cell therapy, and solvatinib, a small molecule anti-angiogenic agent. NK cell therapies are designed to enhance the innate immune system’s ability to recognize and destroy cancer cells by infusing patients with activated or engineered NK cells. Solvatinib acts as an anti-angiogenic agent that inhibits tumor blood vessel formation, potentially making tumor environments more susceptible to immune-mediated attack. The combination aims to leverage both direct cytotoxicity from NK cell infusion and the microenvironment-modifying effects of angiogenesis inhibition for synergistic antitumor activity[1]. This approach is being explored in clinical trials for cancer indications.
