Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Metsyn X (also known as MetsynX) is a nutraceutical supplement developed and distributed by Delfran Pharmaceuticals, a South African company specializing in female healthcare. The product is a combination of myo-inositol and d-chiro-inositol in a physiological 40:1 ratio, designed to support glucose metabolism and address insulin resistance. Mechanistically, these inositols serve as precursors to inositol phosphoglycans, which act as secondary messengers in the insulin signaling pathway; myo-inositol facilitates glucose uptake and cellular response, while d-chiro-inositol promotes glycogen synthesis. Metsyn X is indicated for individuals with metabolic syndrome (Syndrome X), central obesity, and other conditions linked to disrupted insulin sensitivity. It is administered orally as a powder sachet dissolved in water.
