MEVAC EDS 76

MEVAC EDS 76 is an inactivated monovalent veterinary vaccine developed by Middle East for Vaccines (MEVAC) to protect poultry against Egg Drop Syndrome (EDS). The vaccine contains inactivated Egg Drop Syndrome '76 virus (avian Atadenovirus) at a concentration of ≥ 8.5 log10 EID50 per dose. It is designed to induce a protective immune response in chickens, breeders, layers, and ducks, specifically preventing the production of soft-shelled and shell-less eggs caused by the virus. The vaccine is formulated as an emulsion that may separate during storage, requiring vigorous shaking before administration to pullets, typically starting from 2 weeks of age and before the onset of lay.
