Overview
Mexoryl XL + Mexoryl SX is a patented combination of sun filters developed by L'Oréal. Mexoryl SX (ecamsule/terephthalylidene dicamphor sulfonic acid) is a water-soluble organic compound that primarily protects against UVA rays, while Mexoryl XL (drometrizole trisiloxane) is an oil-soluble compound that provides protection against both UVA and UVB rays. Together, they show a synergistic effect in sun protection, offering photostable and long-lasting defense against the full spectrum of UV radiation. This combination is particularly effective at preventing sunburn, premature skin aging, and reducing the risk of skin cancer.
