Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MF101 is an oral drug designed for the treatment of menopausal vasomotor symptoms (hot flashes and night sweats) in peri-menopausal and menopausal women. It is a selective estrogen receptor beta (ERβ) agonist that does not activate estrogen receptor alpha (ERα), which is associated with increased risk of breast and uterine cancers. The active ingredients in MF101 are derived from botanicals with centuries of recorded safe, effective use in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). In clinical trials, the 10 g/day dose showed efficacy in reducing the frequency of hot flashes.
