Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MG005 is a small molecule inhibitor targeting CRAF (also known as C-Raf kinase), developed by Metagone Biotech. Its primary mechanism of action is the inhibition of CRAF, a serine/threonine-protein kinase involved in the MAPK/ERK signaling pathway, which plays a critical role in cell proliferation and survival. The drug has been investigated primarily for oncology indications, specifically solid tumors. A Phase 1 clinical trial evaluated the safety and preliminary efficacy of MG005 in combination with sorafenib (a multi-kinase inhibitor) in patients with solid tumors[1][2]. The development status remains at Phase 1/Pending.
