Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**MG56-I** is an investigational grass-pollen allergen immunotherapy developed by Inmunotek for grass pollen-induced allergic rhinitis and allergic rhinoconjunctivitis. It consists of polymerized allergoids prepared from a 50:50 mixture of *Phleum pratense* and *Dactylis glomerata* pollen extracts and conjugated to non-oxidized *Saccharomyces cerevisiae* mannan using glutaraldehyde. The mannan-allergoid design is intended to promote dendritic-cell uptake and induce allergen-specific immune tolerance. The associated MG56 program was evaluated in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 2 dose-finding study using subcutaneous and sublingual administration.
